Today's quote comes courtesy of Salon's article, Military leaders on John McCain's temperament. The picture painted of McCain is that despite his war hero resume and military credentials, he very well may not be the personality you (or the military) wants as commander in chief. McCain's reputation for rashness and temper come into play.
Retired Rear Adm. John Hutson, who has been a Republican his entire adult life, but who now supports Obama, put it this way about facing a national security crisis: "When everybody else goes nuts, the president of the United States needs to get cooler and cooler."Makes sense to me.
